Ty Joules Is Founder & Producer of the The Musical Family. Born in Birmingham he was brought up listening to the musical influences of both parents : From Rock n Roll to Funk, Classical to Jazz, Motown to Reggae ect. His music & beats vary like the English seasons.In primary school he found hip hop in the styles of Vannila Ice, MC Hammer & Snow. It wasn't until his older brother DJ' Nathan Gregory Wilkins bought him the greatest hits of RZA (Wu Tang Clan) & the Fugees album to which he was really inspired into 'real' Hip Hop 'Joules studied Music Technology in '99 till 2002 then took a long break away from the scene, working, taking further studies in anatomy, physiology & fitness coaching. In 2012 a whole ten years later, he got in touch with Iso' and LB' to set up a recording studio where they could retreat & start working on music again.Now working on The Musical Family & Solo Albums which consist of Hip Hop, RnB, Electronic, Jazz & Jigstance we look forward to hearing the treats Ty Joules has in store for the 2015 club scene.
Isolated Vision 30 years young & of Irish/English decent Isolated Vision is a Birmingham rapper & founding member of TMF Raping since 1998 & going through several name changes to redesign his persona he continuously evolves as a rapper who is "putting the work in".
With his growth & experiences resounding through his lyrical take on the world, this versatile, open minded & focused individual has varied influences that range from various genres. "You can find at least one good thing in every song" Isolated Vision. This rapper/M.C started rhyming over U.K.G in 1998/99 but crossed over to hip hop in 2002 with honest, open lyrics. Iso's views whether compelling, controversial or amusing are quirky & relative, as an artist he can stand alone on any platform. Since co founding TMF over the past year, Iso has picked up pace through this project & thrived only to ensure more versatile & addictive flows for his audience to grasp. With over 15 years of creative understanding behind him. he's cryptically capable of producing an act thats sure to please.
Lonely Boy Robinson is the lead vocalist of The Musical Family. Born & raised in Birmingham he has been writing songs & catchy hooks over the past 10 years. Writing lyrics for Ballads, RnB, Electronic and the Blues, his concepts are way out there, you just have to look out for the soon to be released 'Golden Dragon' to understand what we mean.
Since teaming up with 'Joules & Iso again in 2012 he has been able to flurish his creativity & has had his first solo showcase in Sept. When you catch 'Lonely Boy' on a live show you'll see the energy & passion that he gives not only to the vocal but to the music & audience.
Having made the Battle Rounds of The Voice UK we're now awaiting to see what 'LB brings us in 2013..
Fallen Angel aka Mo'Stash
is a shock to the system, with his inteligent, insightful, razor sharp lyrics, his word play commands respect from all who hear him. He mixes hip hop with grime, thus allowing him to adapt to any beat thrown his way.
His influences are other local artists in Birmingham who also strive to put their work out there with content about everyday life that people can relate to.
Other artists and albums that that influence his music are the Slim Shady LP, Pure Koke. Big L and of course typically 'Get Rich or Die Trying' album. Fallen Angel says 'Listening to their lyrics always inspires me, to write something people can find easy to relate to whatever their circumstances.
Now on a mission entering open mic nights to improve his free style skills the Fallen Angel
is taking flight to get to the top of his game.
Jay_S Growing up in a musical influenced family, it was no surprise that Jay_S fell into the realm of music & sound.
This woman possesses many talents within the music sector. With a powerful soulful voice, Jay_S' range impresses over Soul, RnB or Ballads. As keen songwriter, working with different subject matters, melodies & flows, she captures various audiences of many age ranges.
Working on lyric and song arrangements, she decided to get into the fine art of music Production too. "Being able to produce the songs I write enables me to delve deeper & really connect with my creations. It almost becomes more personal.. A part of me".
Producing RnB, Hip Hop & House, Jay_S is dominant in the Birmingham Music Industry Scene.
Jacob Oniell aka Jah'Cub aka Is'Real an amazing singer & song writer who was born in the heart of Birmingham. He comes from a musical background & was brought up around the heart felt sounds of Motown, RnB & Reggae. He's been gigging around the UK for private functions & events successfully
he has made his stamp as a confident professional, performing artist
Influenced by artists such as Maxwell, Jah Cure, Busy Signal, Taurus Riley, Mary J, Tank & Frank Ocean, passion runs deep.
He carries a smooth, serenading, compassionate & truthful voice which settles like soft snow 12 inches deep. His talent doesnt stop there, also blessed with the gift of playing the guitar he is an asset to The Musical Family.
Having met Ty in mid 2012 he was welcomed into 'The Family' & they have now embarked on co writing to produce original solo material for Jacobs releases in 2015
Gee Force aka Obscene Images grew up in Shard End, Birmingham, where he met Fallen Angel on the first day of infant school. Gee's personality contains a graphic sense of humor, mixing this with his lyric writing, you end up with deep, raw content that some listeners may find offensive and others will love.. The X-rated metaphor king.
Influenced by underground hip-hop and grime artists that rise like damp to the top of their game.
Now having joined TMF, he enjoys the productivity of working on new projects with the other
